I know it has been a while since I posted, but I have been loving this turmeric lemonade recently and wanted to share! First, I thought I would give a quick life update since it has been so long.
Life Update:
I graduated from college in May and am home for the summer before starting my new job in September! It still hasn’t hit me that I am actually done with school because right now it just feels like a normal summer (besides the fact that I’m not working). Maybe it will hit me in fall when I start working instead of going to school? Idk I’m convinced that it will never feel real…
Since I graduated and don’t start working until September, I should have time to post more often, but I have actually been pretty busy because I got a puppy! His name is Winston, he’s a Cavapoo and currently only 10 weeks old. I didn’t really realize how much work having a puppy would be. Right now he is still potty training and attempting to chew on everything in sight. It is definitely worth it though because he is the cutest puppy to ever exist.
Also, as I was looking for pictures of him to post, I realized that 90% of them are photos of him sleeping because when he’s awake I’m too busy keeping him out of trouble to think about taking pictures…lol ill work on that. But he’s also really adorable when he sleeps so Im okay with the bazillion photos I have of him sleeping <3. Recipe:
Anyway, on to the recipe. Turmeric has become really popular lately because of the health benefits. I won’t go into detail on them because i’m no health expert but here is a good article if you’re curious. And there are tons of other great articles and info out there if you do a quick google search.
I have tried making a few different variations of turmeric tea and didn’t really like any of them until I had turmeric lemonade at a restaurant. It was AMAZING. I loved it so much that I decided to try to make it myself. After some trial and error, I was able to recreate the deliciousness that I remember and I am obsessed! Since coming up with this recipe I think I have made it almost every day. It is the perfect refreshing drink for any hot summer day and is much healthier than traditional lemonade. Drink as much as you want all day every day 🙂
