These microwave oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are quick and easy and made with all healthy ingredients.
Baking is definitely one of my favorite things to do. It is one of the things I miss the most when I’m at school without a full kitchen. So, I decided to find a way that I could still make delicious baked goods in my dorm room. It took a lot of trial and error, but no complaints because it just meant I got to “taste test” lots of cookies. I finally landed on the perfect combination of healthy ingredients that still taste like delicious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Yes, these cookies are healthy. So go ahead and eat as many as you want 🙂
I really believe that it is possible to be healthy without giving up any of your favorite foods, including dessert. Cookies, brownies, and ice cream are some of my biggest weaknesses whenever I am trying to eat healthy. The best way to get rid of the temptation to eat dessert is to be able to still eat dessert without the guilt. These cookies have no oil, butter, or white flour and still taste delicious.

- In a small bowl, combine the oats and whole wheat flour.
- Add egg whites and avocado and stir until fully combined. Be sure to mash the avocado while stirring so that there are no visible chunks of avocado in the mixture. The dough should be thick.
- Add honey and stir. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Divide the dough in half and form each into balls. Place the dough on a microwavable plate. Flatten the dough with a spoon or fork so they are shaped like cookies.
- Microwave for 30 seconds and enjoy them while they are still warm!
Do not overcook the cookies. They should be soft and chewy and may look slightly underdone when taken out of the microwave.
